America’s Cup 2017: Structurmarine selected as the official supplier of floating pontoon systems.

Structurmarine has been awarded a contract for the design, supply and installation of eleven (11) berthing stations specifically designed for the prestigious 35th Edition of America’s Cup to be held in the Islands of Bermuda in June 2017.

The berthing facilities will accommodate a mix of service boats, private boats and passenger ferries up to 122 m (400 ft).  Renowned for its advanced-marine engineered and innovative pontoon systems, Structurmarine also collaborated to the final layout in line with America’s Cup venue.

The aluminium technology was preferred over many other materials. While being strong and flexible, Structurmarine’s aluminium pontoon system offers many advantages due to its ease of installation and adaptable design qualities that perfectly fit with America’s cup exceptional characteristics and requirements.

America’s Cup will benefit from Structurmarine’s floating pontoon system, proven and tested for decades in the Islands of Bermuda. Each berthing location, tailored specifically for the event, will ensure safe berthing to all racers and users at all times but most importantly, under potentially extreme weather conditions.

Structurmarine is proud to be involved in the execution of this challenging project and to contribute to this unique experience.
