CHURCH STREET DOCK EXPANSION
BRISTOL, RHODE ISLAND
Famous among boaters, Bristol is often considered the fishiest spot in Narragansett Bay north of Newport. Upon entering the harbour, the Herreshoff Marine Museum and its pier will be visible on starboard, on the southern outskirts of the village. The heart of the village, meanwhile, is on the east side of the port, and is laced with narrow streets lined with colonial and Victorian houses, as well as good restaurants, pubs and shops.
The project to extend the city’s marina from 38 existing slips to 92 slips for boats in the 35' range took place in 2022 over a period of 6 months. The marina includes 8 feet wide Structure 40 and 16 feet wide Structure 80 floating docks in aluminum. Composite decking with continuous vinyl fenders. Treated pine wood piles.
The design of the marina is made in order to withstand the first threshold of hurricane, therefore a wind of up to 74 mph.
