CITY OF GREEN BAY
GREEN BAY, WISCONSIN
The redevelopment of City Deck was born out of the desire to create a better place for families and children in the heart of the old town of Green Bay. It is about one-quarter-mile in length and situated between the Walnut Street bridge and the Ray Nitschke Memorial Bridge with multiple platforms extending out over the Fox River. There is 720 lineal feet of dock space amongst the platforms. It operates as a City park but also a key part of the Fox River State Recreational Trail. In parallel, the marina includes a 40 'berth for transient boaters and can accommodate boats from 30' to 60 '. The installation is made by anchoring on piles and designed so that the marina is easily removed for the winter period. The impressive 80 'long aluminum access walkway is also designed to be hoisted from the floating docks and remain in place during the winter period. The project drawings and calculations was sealed and stamped and construction supervised by our old friend Dave Wentland, PE , resident of Green Bay.
