MARINA DE PORTNEUF
PORTNEUF, QUEBEC

Located on the north shore of the St. Lawrence River, the Marina de Portneuf is a modern floating marina designed to serve recreational boaters navigating one of Québec’s most dynamic waterways. Facing significant tidal variations, strong currents, and demanding winter ice conditions, the marina required a durable and adaptable marina infrastructure solution capable of providing safe and reliable performance throughout the year.

Structurmarine supplied and engineered an 80-berth marina featuring high-performance floating docks designed to accommodate vessels ranging from 25 to 60 feet in length. The marina is secured using a combination of chains, moorings, and push arms, creating a robust dock anchoring system engineered to withstand changing water levels, currents, and environmental loads commonly experienced along the St. Lawrence River.

Designed specifically for a challenging tidal environment, the marina benefits from a resilient floating dock system that maintains stability and usability despite fluctuating water levels. The project also incorporates solutions tailored to northern climates, allowing the marina to remain in place year-round. A dedicated winter marina system located within the basin helps protect the infrastructure during the winter season while reducing seasonal handling requirements and improving operational efficiency.

Completed through several development phases, the project allowed for the progressive expansion and modernization of the marina while maintaining continuity of service for boaters. This phased approach provided the flexibility required to support the marina’s long-term growth and evolving operational needs.
