EAST END PARK
CAPE VINCENT, NEW YORK
Structurmarine has successfully modernized the marine infrastructure at East End Park, a highly frequented public site in the heart of the Thousand Islands. The project aimed to replace aging facilities with a more sustainable, secure, and accessible marina while adapting to local environmental conditions and user needs.
The old fixed wooden docks, which were vulnerable to flooding, have been replaced with floating aluminum docks designed to remain in place year-round. Protected by a breakwater built by a local company, these new structures offer enhanced durability against the elements. To ensure optimal stability, a flexible anchoring system combining piles, chains, and concrete deadweight anchors was implemented.
The boat launch area was completely redesigned. Instead of a traditional gangway, an integrated dock runs along both sides, making access easier and providing an additional mooring point. Additionally, an ADA-compliant kayak launch was installed to improve accessibility for individuals with reduced mobility.
With this transformation, East End Park now features a modern and functional marina that blends seamlessly with its surroundings. Structurmarine delivers a durable and high-performance project that meets the expectations of boaters and the local community.
