In 2010, Structurmarine had the privilege to be selected as the preferred pontoon designer to build and install the first marina at Lusail City. In 2014, Structurmarine added 49 berths in response to increasing demands for more berths in Qatar. Lusail Marina is the first yachting destination in the Middle East to offer its clientele covered floating lounge areas built with contemporary shade structure which create a unique world class ambiance of luxury, ease and comfort.
Departing from Al Shiouk VIP terminal, ferries cross crystal clear water to reach Banana Island Resort Doha, a breathtaking island that feels a world away. Located 20 minutes from Doha, Qatar’s vibrant capital, this world class facility provides relaxation, adventure, wellness and water sport activities. A complete and unique all-in-one destination, visitors are greeted at the impressive arrival pavilion pontoon, a huge floating platform of 15 m x 15 m (50 ft x 50 ft) on which a unique 12 m (40 ft) high wooden structure acts as the resort’s main reception.
In addition to the marina, capable of servicing (30) yachts up to 40 meters (130 ft), one can also enjoy shisha and fine dining under the stars at the floating beach dining club or access their private villas by boat or cart. Diving, snorkelling and scuba diving tours depart from the Diving pontoon and will make you discover this prestigious retreat.
Structurmarine is proud to have also contributed to other prominent projects in Qatar for private floating berths for Palaces, VIP Ferry Terminal at the Old Shiouk, Al-Wakra Floating Terminal, Fisherman Pontoons at the Old Doha Port, Floating Jetty for the Sheraton Hotel and last but not least, the high-end waterfront development Banana Island Resort Doha. Lusail’s iconic Fuel Dock featuring shade structures as at Lusail Marina will be in place in the coming months.
Let our unique combination of technology, creativity and experience help you build your future pontoon facilities.
“We had the privilege in 2010 to do the Lusail Marina, the first phase of the marina, and we participated in the first boat show here in 2013, and since then it is part of our marketing plan to come to the Qatar Boat Show as it helps us expand our reach throughout the region”.
